Q: How old do I have to be to get a piercing?

A: That's a tricky one, there is no real government regulation on the matter, as a general rule 16 years of age is old enough for most piercings. But we will still ask for ID, a student/travel card or healthcare card. Furthermore we may also ask to speak to your parent(s) beforehand. If you are under the age of 18, I would strongly recommend talking to your parents before you get a piercing done, explain why you want it and talk about some of the misconceptions they may have about it, any no your face won't become paralised after you get your eyebrow pierced. After all you don't want to waste your $60 on a piercing only to have to take it out 6 hours later when your parents get very upset.
